The Colombian Pacific coast is a destination of nature of high environmental wealth and unique biodiversity of the Colombian geography. This is one of the most humid regions of the world in which you can observe dramatic landscapes, incredible waterfalls and dark beaches.
During the months of July to November it is possible to observe the humpback whales that reach the Colombian coasts to have their young. The Gorgona Island is one of the best places to observe these cetaceans. During our plan we can have a mix of rest and nature with a cultural immersion in Guapi the last 2 days of the expedition.

(05:00) – Meeting in the terminal 2 of El Dorado airport where we will take a direct plane to Buenaventura with SATENA airline with estimated arrival in that town at 8:30 AM. Once we arrive we will head to the town´s dock and from there will take a fast boat towards Guapi island. The boat ride takes 4 hours approximately and once there we will do check-in at the island hotel, will have lunch and will receive the talk with National parks systems. Afterwards start a guided tour through the old jail, once we finish it, we will be back at the hotel in order to rest in accommodations for 2,4 & 6 people with private toilets & showers (the private rooms for couples have an extra-price).
(07:00) – Breakfast at the hotel and after that you will be take in boats in order to do the whale-watching in open sea in the sorrounding area of the island, once it is over the boat will head to “Playa Palmeras” (Palms beach), after that you will be taken to the hotel where you will have lunch, later on you will hike the trail to “the aquarium” area (Perfect place for snorkeling), once you get back you will have dinner and rest at the hotel.
(07:00) – Breakfast and free-time for scuba-diving, snorkeling or hike through the authorized trails of the island or extra activities to hire at the place, after that, you will have lunch and then will do the check-out from the island and departure in speedboats towards the town of Guapi (1 hour boat ride) where you will be transferred to the hotel and have dinner at night trying the special local traditional cuisine.
(07:00) – Breakfast in the hotel and then you will be taken by boat to a fluvial tour upstream Guapi river by the pristine waters of this water body and the several waterfalls that flow into the river. On this trip we will visit several indigenous and afro communities located along the river and will stop in one of them having an special lunch in one of those communities having also some time to share with them and get to know about their traditions and daily life. We will also visit several waterfalls and natural attractions in a region that is considered one of the most biodiverse of the world. In the late afternoon we will head back to Guapi town and will be receive with an special dinner and a traditional drinks tasting.
(07:00) – Breakfast in the hotel and cultural tour in the town of Guapi where we will visit the gold filigree workshops and artisans in the region and will end the tour with a visit to the indigenous ethnicity “Eperaara Saiapidaara” getting to know their handicraft and sustainable projects. After this morning tour we will get back to Guapi to have lunch and then do the check out for taking our speed boats back to Buenaventura, getting there approximately at 5:30 PM and then getting to our hotel in than town and having dinner there.
(07:00) – Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the Buenaventura airport directly to Bogota, arriving to this city at 10:00 AM approximately.
