The Colombian Pacific coast is a destination of nature of high environmental wealth and unique biodiversity of the Colombian geography. This is one of the most humid regions of the world in which you can observe dramatic landscapes, incredible waterfalls and dark beaches. During the months of July to October it is possible to observe the humpback whales that reach the Colombian coasts to have their cubs. Bahía Málaga is one of the most accessible areas to make this sighting, being also one of the areas where these giants of the ocean abound.
Option of flight transportation for an extra-cost between 300.000 y 600.000 pesos. (It covers the extra night in Buenaventura & trasfers Bogotá – Buenaventura & return or just one of the ways).
For this option we ask you to confirm in advance with us if the flights operated by SATENA are available on the desired expedition day & reserve in advance for better prices.

(19:45) – Meeting for the departure from Bogota to Bahía Málaga in private Car/Van/bus, Or option of plane transportation on the next day depending of availability of flights
(08:00) – Estimated arrival to the touristic dock of Buenaventura & departure in speedboats towars JuanChaco, once there you will be transfered to Ladrilleros where you will do the check-in in shared or private rooms depending on the option previously chosen, then you will have lunch and after that you will be taken back to the deck in order to do the first attempt of whale-watching on open ocean, ending the day back in the hotel with the dinner and a cultural local activity (Only for big groups).
(7:00 AM) – Breakfast and afther that you will have a boat tour by the estuaries & mangroves of Bahía Málaga where you will get to a natural pool deep in the ecosystem visited, ending with a visit of the indigenous wounaan community. Then you will be taken to “La Barra” beach where you will have lunch and afterwards a free-time to enjoy the beach (the order of the activities depend on the ocean tide for that day). At night you will have dinner and time to rest at the hotel.
(7:00 AM) – Breakfast & check-out from the hotel where you will be taken to the JuanChacho dock where you will leave your big luggage and depart in boats towards “La Sierpe” waterfall, “Las 3 Marías” waterfall and will have lunch and visit Juan de Dios beach, subsequently you will have a second attempt of whale watching in open sea and later on you will get back to the JuanChacho dock in order to pick up again your big luggage and take a speed boat towards Buenaventura dock where our adventure will end. Approximately by 5 PM we will start the bus transportation back to Bogotá or for those taking the flight option will have rest in the hotel Titanic in order to take a flight in the next day.
