We contacted this company to help us get the most of our time in Colombia. With such diverse landscapes, exploring Colombia was difficult. Edwin at Outlander made that easy! This company connected us with local operators who helped supply us with adventure with quality bookings and unique indigenous experiences. At the time of COVID-19, we decided to cut our trip early and Edwin was there to help get us home during this difficult time, working late into the night to get alternative flights home. We deeply appreciated this help!
I travelled with Outlanders to Caño Cristales and Tatacoa desert. It was awesome time. Trip to Caño Cristales is my favorite trip ever. Everything was well organized and in all places that we visited I felt that everything was prepared just for us. Really authentic experience.
The trip with Outlanders was absolutely amazing! Everything was so well organized, from the first contact until the drop-off at the bus. The contact with Edwin was very easy, he responded always very quickly (in English) with all the information. I started the trip from the town El Cocuy but this was not a problem as it is close by Guïcán where the tour started.
The guides, Sergio and Diana, were so great and professional. They told us so much information about the national park and the town Guïcán! You really see and feel that they are truly passionate about this area and what they do.
The cabaña was great too, comfortable beds with warm blankets and the host family is so sweet! The food they made for us was delicious and plenty.
And then the national park itself. It was for me the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in Colombia. The paramo and mountain range are just unreal. Although it was very (very) hard, these hikes and all the views we got were 100% worth it!!
I would definitely recommend to go with Outlanders to this national park!!
Colombia is such a huge country with a magnificent nature. Canons, rivers, lakes, mountains, deserts. During my travels in Colombia, I visited many great destinations. But among all, Amazon region was very special and important for me which I cannot call it as a visit, it was a great experience and I felt as an explorer.
These places definitely require high level of expertise including very good communication with local authorities, having good plans and alternatives, establishing a good communication between all the explorers.
My “ones in a life experience” was The Vaupés expedition with Outlanders Colombia expertise.
After having joined two of the Outlanders Colombia tours, i can really recommend this company to every young, not so wealthy, energetic, easy going and adventure hungry person.
The team was more than friendly, punctual and extremely passionate about their work. So, join their next tour, make some new friends and enjoy this amazing nature! If you have any questions to the tours just contact me!
I found out about Outlanders after two years of living in Bogotá and wish I had known about them sooner. They organize great tours (usually on the weekends so it’s easy not to miss too much work) with a mix of Colombians and traveling foreigners to amazing parts of the country. I’ve gone with them on four trips and each time was greatly organized and super affordable compared to all the other travel companies out there. It has a nice personal touch and I will always continue to recommend them.
